How to apply
- Stir: Stir thoroughly before and during use. Avoid introducing excessive air.
- Apply: Apply evenly by brush, roller or suitable low-pressure spray. Avoid puddling and excessive film build.
- First coat: Apply sufficient material to achieve uniform penetration and coverage.
- Second coat: Where required, apply a second coat after the first coat has dried sufficiently. Apply evenly to avoid lap marks.
- Cure: Protect from rain, irrigation, condensation and heavy use until adequately cured.
Surface preparation
Surfaces must be sound, clean and dry and free from dust, laitance, loose material, oil, grease, wax, algae, moss, salts and other contaminants. Previously coated or sealed surfaces should be tested for compatibility and adhesion. New cementitious surfaces should be adequately cured before sealing. A small test area is recommended to confirm appearance and penetration.
Coverage & guidance
Coverage depends on substrate porosity, texture, application method and the amount absorbed by the surface. Smooth, dense surfaces generally provide higher coverage, while porous brick, concrete, cement and paving may require substantially more material. A test area should be used to establish practical coverage before calculating project quantities.
Drying & curing
Drying occurs through water evaporation and polymer film formation. Under suitable dry conditions, the coating may be touch dry in approximately 1–2 hours and recoatable after approximately 2–4 hours. Allow the coating to cure fully before subjecting it to severe weather, washing, standing water or heavy use. Low temperatures, high humidity and poor airflow will extend drying and curing times.
Limitations
- Not recommended for permanently submerged surfaces or areas subject to continuous hydrostatic pressure.
- Do not apply to wet or contaminated surfaces.
- Do not apply when rain, dew or condensation is expected before adequate drying.
- May alter the colour or sheen of some porous substrates; always test a small inconspicuous area first.
- Not intended as a structural waterproofing membrane or crack-bridging coating.
- Performance on previously coated or sealed surfaces depends on compatibility and adhesion.
Storage & safety
Store sealed, upright and out of direct sunlight, ideally between 5°C and 30°C. Protect from frost and freezing. Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged skin contact. Do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children. Use suitable gloves and eye protection during application. Refer to the current SDS for detailed handling, first-aid and disposal requirements.
